The HEATH Resource Center of The George Washington University, A consortium of interested organizations is collaborating on numerous activities to advance the interests of students with intellectual disabilities in postsecondary programs. Central to this task will be an effort to survey and identify two-year and four-year postsecondary programs that provide exemplary, meaningful support to their students with intellectual disabilities.

The Roeher Institute is a national organization in Canada for research and information on issues of disability, policy, social inclusion and human rights. Its mission is to generate knowledge, information and skills to secure the inclusion, citizenship, human rights and equality of people with intellectual and other disabilities.
NEADS - The Association provides information on services and programs for students with disabilities nationwide, publishes a regular newsletter, and conducts research on issues of importance to its members. Members include disabled students, educators, organizations and professional service providers.

One of the largest international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) in the field of disability, Inclusion International unites close to 200 national member associations in 115 countries.
AACL is committed to supporting children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families to have access to a quality inclusive education and for adults with developmental disabilities to have access to the supports they need to live, work and participate in community life.
The BC Association for Community Living is a federation that advocates for children, youth and adults with developmental disabilities and their families to ensure justice, rights and opportunities in all areas of their lives. (Vancouver, BC)

INCLUSIVE ELEMENTARY & SECONDARY EDUCATION
INCLUSION, Department of Special Education, University of Northern Iowa. This web site is designed for general education teachers, special education teachers, parents, and school staff to help provide some answers about how inclusive education can be accomplished. Resources for making accommodations are included as well as links to other web sites and resource lists for learning more about inclusive education.
BCTF has created a new web site to help parents support their children's learning, The site also includes a link to their special education site. The site is a great source of tips on learning activities for travel, holiday reading lists, home and school communication, safety at school, and more. (Vancouver, BC)
Improving communication is one of the primary needs for persons with Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorders, or others with communication or behavior challenges. Our goal is to provide tools to help improve communication.
Project Zero's mission is to understand and enhance learning, thinking, and creativity in the arts, as well as humanistic and scientific disciplines, at the individual and institutional levels. The Active Learning Practices for Schools (ALPS) web site makes Project Zero's Teaching for Understanding and Thinking resources available to schools through an international network supporting educational innovation on a wide scale. As a part of
this endeavor, we are collaborating intensively with several schools to co-design, co-develop, and test network materials.

Child and Family Studies Program (CFSP) is a part of the Department of Psychiatry at Allegheny University of the HealthSciences, Allegheny Campus. The program's mission is to enhance the overall quality of life for children who are at-risk for,or who experience, developmental disabilities, and their families.
