STEPS Forward / Rotary Employer Collaboration

The STEPS Forward / Rotary Employer Collaboration is a network of interested Rotarians working with a STEPS Forward Coordinator to match students with intellectual disabilities with Rotarians seeking employees for paid positions.
STEPS Forward staff continue to support employers and employees in the work place until the employee is able to work independently. Staff continue to be available on an on-going basis whenever support is needed. This resource is always there to support employers, employees, and others at the place of employment - regardless of how long the employee has been employed.
Wendy McDonald (Mafair Rotary - Edmonton) and STEPS Forward will be giving an overview at a breakout session on employment and support for young adults with intellectual disabilities at the District 5040 Annual Conference on May 18th, 2007 in Kelowna.
